Peru, St. Moritz, Vitznau – After St. Moritz, the chef of Yaku by Canessa restaurant, Claudia Canessa, makes a stop on the Central Swiss Riviera. She combines cultures, ingredients and spontaneous creativity to create fabulous dishes. Tattooed and with a winning smile, Canessa stands behind a desk like a DJ and rocks the kitchen of the former “Badi” on the Swiss Riviera. The new pop-up restaurant convinces with the best ceviche, vegetarian dishes, lots of freshness and a casual ambience. Of course, the South American touch is not to be missed – the native Peruvian is the queen of spices.

New arrival for the Vitznauerhof
Claudia Canessa is cool. For the past three years, she has been head chef at Sunny Bar by Claudia Canessa in St. Moritz in winter and private chef on Ibiza in summer.
She is known for her courage to go against the grain, her reinterpretation of Peruvian classics and her love of chilli peppers in all their variations.
Her great passion for the flavours of this world and her aversion to conventions make her one of the most interesting top chefs in Switzerland.
Culinary greetings from Peru
Guests can look forward to their signature dishes, such as the famous ceviche variations.
The menu also features exciting vegan and vegetarian dishes. Canessa’s native Peru, with its wide variety of spices, provides the flavour base for each creation.
YAKU by Canessa finds a temporary home in the Sens, when Jeroen Achtien and his team are off duty. The scenic lounge and terrace directly on the shore is the perfect match.
