Caribbean-Arabic fusion cuisine meets Mediterranean serenity

From July 1st to 31st, 2025, the Vitznauerhof will be the stage for a very special culinary experience: Azceituna, the Zurich pop-up project by Nikol Morillo and Jade Ismail, will be making its first guest appearance on Lake Lucerne – with a dinner concept that combines culture, community and culinary art in a delightful way.

Three days a week – Saturdays to Mondays – the two restaurateurs invite guests to enjoy a menu. They serve a creative fusion of Caribbean flavors and Levantine influences, accompanied by sophisticated drinks with an oriental twist.

Azceituna is more than just a pop-up – it is a culinary statement that brings people and cultures together. Directly at the lake, nestled in the breathtaking scenery of Vitznau, a new sensual form of communal dining is created.

Nikol and Jade

Top Dominican chef and MasterChef winner Nikol Morillo brings classic dishes such as pastel en hoja or arepitas made from manioc to the plate – reinterpreted with spices and ingredients from the Middle East.

Lebanese bartender Jade Ismail accompanies the menu with exciting drinks such as the Bizcocho de Limón cocktail, which combines lemon yoghurt and mezcal, refined with a hint of smoked olive oil – creamy, smoky, surprising. Or the Tabbouleh Spritz combines tomato water, fresh parsley, vodka and soda to create a light, herbal aperitif with a Mediterranean soul.
